New antibacterial nonwoven special material successfully developed

On September 26, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical's polypropylene plant successfully developed and produced 450 tons of N40Q, a special material for antibacterial nonwoven fabrics, filling the gap of special material for antibacterial nonwoven fabrics in China.

Antibacterial nonwoven fabric is light, soft, non-toxic and breathable, which can be used not only for surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfection wraps and other health care materials, but also widely used in diapers, wet wipes, bed sheets and other civil fields. In recent years, the domestic demand for antibacterial nonwoven fabrics has been growing, while the raw materials are dependent on imports.

In 2018, the group company listed "antibacterial anti-mold resin development and application promotion" as a major special project to carry out research and development of special materials for antibacterial nonwoven fabrics. Zhenhai Refining & Chemical, together with Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, organized the preparation of a detailed production plan on the basis of high-efficiency antimicrobial agents, identified risks in the whole production process and formulated production safety and quality control measures, and paid close attention to product appearance, odor and the amount of chemical additives added during production to ensure a smooth and controllable production process.
